Anna McGahan was born on 2 May 1988 and has appeared in Australian television, film and theatre.
Anna shot to prominence in 2011 for playing the roles of Nellie Cameron in the Australian television series "Underbelly - Razor 1". Anna tehn went on to play Lucy in "House Husbands" (2012-2014) and Rose Anderson, a headstrong journalist in "The Doctor Blake Mysteries" (2015-2018). Anna also has featured in TV drama ANZAC Girls as well as movie 100 Bloody Acres.
Anna received the Queensland Young Playright Award in 2008 and 2009 and was shortlisted for the Queensland Premier's Drama Award in 2010 for her play " He's Seeing Other People Now".
Anna co-wrote the immersive theatre piece "The People of The Sun" with Joel McKerrow which toured Melbourne and Sydney in 2016 and 2017.
In 2012, Anna received a "Best Emerging Artist" Matilda award for her performance in La Boote Theatre Company's "Julias Caesar".
On 27June 2012, Anna was awarded the Heath Ledger Scholaship at the "Australian's in Film Benefit" in Los Angeles.
In 2016, Anna was shortlisted for "The Saturday Paper" national essay award for "Home Prize".
